On February 18, 2026, Sheena Seaton's world changed forever. Her 18-year-old son was taking out the trash when he was caught in the crossfire of a robbery and was shot five times. He died on the scene, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly. Sheena has been my best friend for the past seven years, and I can say without a doubt that she is a wonderful friend, a dedicated worker, and an even better mother. The love she has for her children is undeniable—they are her whole world. Her son was a great young man, set to graduate this year, with so much promise and a bright future ahead of him.

 This tragedy has left Sheena and her family not only heartbroken but also facing the overwhelming burden of funeral expenses. As most people know, these costs can be extremely high, and no parent should have to worry about finances while grieving the loss of a child. The funds raised will go directly toward covering funeral costs and helping Sheena support her family as she takes time away from work to grieve and heal.
