UPDATE 09/05/18:
Paul's CT yesterday morning showed that the vasospasms are diminishing they have turned off his norepinephrine and he went through the night keeping his blood pressure above 120 then they will move him to a neuro ward today and then hopefully home in a few days. They are also going to give him a pirate patch to help with his double vision

UPDATE 08/31/18:
Paul is still in the High Acuity Ward.... he had 2 CT scans yesterday which showed that he is still experiencing vasospasms. He had gone nearly 36 hours without the IV blood pressure meds but unfortunately he had to be put back on them today. He is still at a very high risk for a stroke and needs his blood pressure monitored 24/7. Today he didn’t seem as good as he did a couple days ago, he was very tired and was not allowed to sit in his chair and they still don’t want to let him attempt to walk. We are thankful for the amazing team that is caring for him.

UPDATE: He is still in the High Acuity Unit. He had fever which seems to be gone. He has double vision, they not sure yet where that will go. His blood pressure is still being controlled through IV medication. They have managed to regulate the medication for his vadospasms which in turn control his pain. He was allowed to sit up in a wheelchair for a bit yesterday, it caused his blood pressure to drop which means they have to increase his meds....baby steps!

As many of you may have heard our brother Paul (who is only 20 years old) had a ruptured brain aneurysm last Saturday and had to have surgery on Thursday to stop the bleeding. During the surgery, there were a few serious complications including a blood clot in his carotid artery. Paul is now recovering at Royal Columbian Hospital in the High Acuity Care Unit.
He has been in the hospital for almost a week now and will probably be in for another week or so (depending on his condition). This all came as such a shock! As most of you know Paul is the kindest, sweetest guy, who is always there to help anyone in need.
We decided to set this up for Paul and our parents hoping to raise a bit of money to help them to cover expenses such as parking (up to $80/day at RCH), time missed from work, food, gas, etc. Currently, Paul has had a family member with him each day for 14+ Hours just helping him with things that nursing staff can't and just making sure he feels supported. Any help to just alliviate the financal stress on top of the emotional toll we think would be greatly appreciated. Anything over and above expenses we will give to Paul for his missed time from work that could be up to 3 months as he has labor intensive job and won’t be able to go back for some time.
I know a lot of you have already helped in many ways so please feel no obligation....we arent trying raise a lot of $ just a little to help with all these sudden expenses.
