<div>Sarah Lopez is my sweet 2-year-old cousin, and right now, she’s fighting a battle that no child should ever have to face. After coming down with the flu, Sarah developed Tranverse myelitis , a rare and serious condition that has left her on a breathing tube and receiving plasma exchange treatments in the hospital. Her parents, who are caring for six children, are unable to work during this time, making things even more difficult for the whole family. It’s heartbreaking to see Sarah in this condition, and it hurts even more to watch my aunt and the rest of my cousins struggle alongside her.
