I'm Angie Lennex, the mother of Sarah Simms Bingaman. On July 20th, her and her husband Robbie's home got flooded by the 5 inches that fell in Ripley, OH, in about 45 minutes. They have been painting the inside of their home, trying to fix it up a little at a time, plus had planned to have their 5-year-old son's birthday party there when devastation happened. There's no worse fear than to have your child call you in tears and panic, putting you on FaceTime to see water over her ankles INSIDE her home and it continually rolling in, and your grandbabies on the couch crying and scared to death because they don't understand what's going on. Heartbreaking! I've never seen a flood cause so much damage in so little time; I was in shock. It destroyed all her floors and carpets, on top of some personal items. My heart breaks for my daughter and her little family, especially when they contacted the insurance company only to be told that NOTHING was covered. Sad is what it is; it makes you feel like you're paying insurance for nothing. This has caused her and her little family to be displaced, and could you imagine the challenges and struggles this has caused not only for them but for their babies that are only 5 and 1 years old. It's just so unbelievable what they have been through, but one thing they have not lost is their faith, and that is one thing that will never turn their back on them like the insurance company did. I have to give a big shoutout to the Ripley Fire Department for responding to their house last Sunday and doing everything they did; hard telling how much worse it would have been without them. There are several other people I want to thank for helping in any and all ways that day; it was truly appreciated.

Like I said, the pictures do not show the actual devastation that this flood has caused to my daughter and her family, and with them having to replace everything out of their own pocket, they NEED help. They work every day and try to raise their family in all the right ways, but this is way too much for them. They just want to get back to living in their home where their babies are comfortable and happy. So if you can donate, no matter the amount, to help this little family get back in their home, it would be so greatly appreciated, and for whatever reason you can't, please pray for them.
