Support for Sara Larter

Sara is a loving mother of two children, Zoey, 15, and Ty, 13, and devoted wife to husband, John.  In May, 2015 she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She began treatments in July, 2015 including chemotherapy and radiation in Charlottetown, then to Halifax for internal radiation and a radical hysterectomy.  Sara's doctors were confident that her treatments were successful and she was given the "all clear."  Sara returned to her normal life and work in community care.  After a routine scan in June, 2017, 2 years after her intitial diagnosis, she received the devastating news that her cancer had returned and intensified.  Her uphill battle continues and although she has faced several complications, including a bowel blockage that lead to another surgery and colostomy bag, she continues her chemo treatments with the hope of beating this dreadful disease.  Sara is an amazing woman.  Through her trials, she has faced each day with her beautiful, infectious smile and positive attitude.  Her illness has kept her from getting to every Charlottetown Islanders game, but she won't let it keep her from enjoying Zoey play her flute or watching her favorite hockey player, Ty, play the game he loves.  Her devoted husband, John, has been by her side through every step.   As a result, both Sara and John have not been able to work, and they could really use your help.  Anything you can do to support them would be greatly appreciated and I encourage you to share their story.
