<div>Jose Santiago, a retired New York City Police Officer and an active Washingtonville Police Officer, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and public servant, Jose dedicated his life to serving and protecting others both in and out of uniform.

<div>His wife, Blanca, was also in the car during the accident. While she survived, she suffered serious injuries that will require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and long-term support.

<div>Jose was a true "cop's cop," a family man, and a pillar of strength in his community. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
