Hello, my name is Melinda and I’m reaching out on behalf of my fiancé, Samuel Warner—though most people know him as Chubby. Over the past several months, Samuel has been facing an incredibly tough battle. Last May, he was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney and heart disease. Since then, he’s been in and out of the hospital, fighting every day and doing his best to keep up with dialysis, even though it’s been a real struggle. Samuel is only 54 years old, and despite everything, he’s always been the kind of person who would do anything to help others.

 Recently, Samuel’s condition has worsened. The doctors have told us that his kidneys are no longer working and his heart is failing. Yesterday, his doctor came to our home and shared that we don’t know how much longer Samuel will be with us. It’s heartbreaking to see someone so full of warmth and kindness go through so much pain.

 As you can imagine, times like this are incredibly hard. Our bills are piling up, and I’ve had to stop working so I can be home to care for Samuel. It’s a struggle every day, and we’re falling behind. I’m reaching out to our friends, family, and community for any support you can offer.
