<div>If you've met Rob Crowle, you know that he is one of the good ones. He has a heart of gold and selflessly gives his time, resources and love to those in need. He is a loving and devoted husband to Becky, he is a son, a brother, and a cherished uncle with a fun-loving presence and generous spirit. He loves his friends and family unconditionally and is a pillar of strength to all of us.

<div>As some of you may already know, Rob has been bravely battling stage 4 colon cancer since June of last year. Everyone who knows Rob knows how stubborn he is and that he wasn’t going down without a fight. Through multiple set backs and road blocks during his treatment journey, he still fought with courage and determination. Despite his unshakeable spirit, his physical strength has become overwhelmed and his body is saying it has had enough.

<div>This past week, with the help and advice from his doctor and oncologist, he and Becky made the very difficult and heartbreaking decision to stop treatment so that Rob can focus on pain management and quality of life over quantity.

<div>This GoFundMe was created to ease some of the financial losses Becky and Rob have already suffered during their battle and allow Becky to be home with Rob to focus on comfort, love, and cherished moments with family and friends.

<div>Together, since 2012, Becky and Rob have built a life together that is truly inspiring. They share a genuine partnership and a seemingly perfect relationship. They became best friends and travel partners exploring so much of the world. They bonded over their love for their many animals; Loki, Charlie, Gunnar, the chickens, birds, and fish. Together, they’ve built the perfect home for their tiny family and Rob has never shied away from Becky’s want to keep that family growing.

<div>Sharing a circle of friends and family, they’ve built a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. Their bond is a witness to the power of love and connection and inspires others to cherish the ones that matter most.

<div><strong>THE BATTLE SO FAR</strong>

<div>Rob was first diagnosed a week before his 34th birthday with colon cancer, already at stage 4, having spread to his liver.  It was shocking and devastating, especially since he wasn’t showing any symptoms
</div>

</div>
<div>With guidance from their oncologist Dr. Febbraro, Rob started chemotherapy in July of last year. Sadly, a couple of months into his journey, they learned he carries a BRAF gene mutation which makes his cancer more aggressive and difficult to treat. This led to a number of different chemo treatment plans, all of which started to take a toll on Rob physically and emotionally.

<div>Rob didn’t give up.

<div>He was referred to a surgeon in Toronto, Dr. Gonzalo Sapisochin who thankfully noticed that a few lesions on his liver were responding to the chemo and started to make a plan for surgery. Unfortunately, as the day quickly approached, Rob had an MRI and CT scan and found his lesions were growing yet again and the surgery was cancelled.

<div>The next option was to try a hepatic pump which would deliver concentrated amounts of chemo directly to Robs liver, but after more scans they learned his liver isn't compatible. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Since then, the hope was that a new line of chemo would help shrink these spots so Rob could have the surgery, but his cancer has learned to grow despite treatment.
</div>

</div>
<div>The decision was made to end treatment and allow Robs body the relief it so direly needs and to focus on pain management and quality of life.
</div>
