Support for Ray Payne

Hi everybody,

As you know, Ray suffered an horrific head injury while out in Kidsgrove on 09/07/22.

Ray is currently in the critical care unit at Royal Stoke hospital.

It is unclear at this time what injuries Ray has incurred during the attack.

As most of you know his loving wife Sharon works in Home Bargains in Kidsgrove, we are hoping to raise some money to take the financial pressure off Ray and Sharon and ensure that Sharon is able to cope financially should she be unable to work for the coming weeks he will be in hospital.

We will use this page to update on Ray's condition to make it easily accessible for anybody wishing to know how he is doing, as understandably this is a very difficult time for Sharon.

He is very loved, and as a community I hope we can come together to support them in this horrific journey they now face.

For anybody who doesn't know me, I am the mother of Sharon and Ray's granddaughter, Layney. As a family we are still extremely close, and I set this page up to do everything I can to help Sharon and Ray. They are both amazing people, fantastic grandparents and those who do know me, know I will do anything for them.

Edit: When I tried to add my bank details it was oddly set in the USA - as I don't have a social security number I couldn't add my details.

After numerous attempts to change the location we decided the best option was to add my partner as a beneficiary solely for transfer purposes as Sharon does not have valid ID to complete the necessary security checks. This was all done with Sharon's permission and we will do a same day transfer to Sharon's account.

Just to reassure everybody if there is any confusion, we decided this would be the fastest way for Sharon to receive donations :)
