Support Pawel's Journey to Recovery: Life-Changing Medical Emergency
Imagine going to work one day looking forward to the prospect of looking forward to celebrating Christmas with friends and family , only to have your life changed forever in an instance . This is exactly what happened to our dear work colleague and friend, Pawel.
On a normal day just like many , while on duty, Pawel suddenly felt and become unwell , he felt he had pulled his back or had a possible muscle spasm . Medical assistance was immediately called to him . He was taken to the local hospital and what seemed like a routine check to ensure he was okay , it was found - Pawel was internally bleeding and suffering from a hidden abdominal aortic aneurysm.
A Fight for Survival
Pawel was rushed into emergency surgery , with only a 30% chance of survival. Miraculously, Pawel pulled through. However, his battle was far from over.
Due to the complexity of the condition , Pawel has now required further interventions to save his life . Tragically, doctors determined that leg amputation was necessary on both legs . Pawel went back to surgery and both limbs above the knee were taken away .
Current Situation
Pawel is currently under 24/7 intense care , he is currently fighting lifesaving surgery from the abdominal aortic aneurysm , plus now waking up to the realisation that he has lost his lower limbs . His life has been turned upside down in a matter of days.
A Long Road Ahead
Just last week, Pawel had a full life with promising career prospects and looking forward to Christmas like the rest of us . Now, he faces a long and challenging road to recovery. His ability to work has been taken away, and life will never be the same for him.
