My grandparents, Papaw and Nanny, are facing one of the most challenging times of their lives. My papaw is about to undergo a mechanical heart surgery, and the recovery process means they will need to stay in Lexington for several months, depending on how the surgery goes. To make things even more difficult, my nanny lost her insurance starting today, which has added a huge financial burden to an already stressful situation.

 They have always been there for our family and their community, offering kindness and support whenever someone needed it. Now, as they face mounting expenses for travel, hotel stays, daily living costs, and medical bills while away from home, I want to do everything I can to help ease their worries. The funds raised will go directly toward gas, hotel accommodations, food, and medical expenses so they can focus on papaw’s recovery without the added stress of financial hardship.
