<div>On March 26 we received one of the most devastating calls imaginable. Our sweet, strong, 75 year old dad had been in a terrible accident on his moped. He was critically injured and had to be airlifted to a trauma hospital.

<div>Our dad has already been fighting a brutal battle with stage 3 cancer, recently losing a kidney, and now he’s in a coma clinging to life on life support. His skull is broken in multiple places and he has a traumatic brain injury causing bleeding and swelling in his brain.

<div>We are facing a lot of uncertainty right now as his condition changes within the matter of seconds in the ICU. We have no clear answers on his chances of survival or the extent of brain damage but we are holding onto hope and praying for miracles. Every moment feels like an eternity as we wait for answers we may not be ready to hear.

<div>Our dad is our only support system. Our only family here in America. He is our everything. With our mother severely mentally disabled, he has been our rock and our only safe place.

<div>My sister and I are stepping away from work to be by his side every step of the way and to care for our mom, who is now alone without him, along with our parents house and pets. But this fight comes with overwhelming costs—medical expenses, time away from work, and everything needed to support our dad during this critical time.
