Its great so far that we have raised this money. Thank you all for the support. As we have noted in the body of this story below both in Arabic and English the money raised will be used to purchase and distribute much needed basic food, medicine and baby food to families unable to work and struggling to cope with the shut down due to the COVID 19 epidemic.
الله بعون المؤمن مادام العبد بعون أخيه. الحمد لله الذي جعل الحمد أداءًلحق نعمته ، ونستعينه على هذا الوباء بحوله وقوته، وصلَّ اللهُ على نبيه ورسوله وأهل بيته. أيها الإخوة: إنَّ إدارة المركز الإسلامي العلوي epping ستقوم بحملة تبرعات إلى أهلنا في الوطن وسيشكل لجنة لإدارة توزيع التبرعات مالاً كان أو مواداً غذائية للذين ليسى لهم معين إلاّ الله وأهل الفضل والإحسان ، وإحاطتكم بوضعهم أوسع. ومن يحب أن يضيف أخ أو أخت ذو ثقة وكل أبنائنا ثقة ليكون في لجنة الوطن فمرحباً . أيها الإخوة إنّ الإحسان أمر إلٓهي وواجبٌ إنساني على كل من يستطيع. قال تعالى: والذينَ آمنوا وعملوا الصالحاتِ لا نكلفُ نفساً إلاّ وسعها أولآئك أصحابُ الجنّة هم فيها خالدون صدق الله العليُّ العظيم. فعلينا أيها الإخوة : التقرب إلى الله دائماً وخصوصاً في هذه الأيام الصعبة بالصَّلاةِ والدُّعاءِ والتصدُّقِ بما تجود به النَّفسَ وتسخو به اليد. قال تعالى: فما عند الله خيرٌ وأبقى (صد) وقال أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام رأسُ الإيمان الإحسان . وقال أيضاً أفضلُ المعروفِ إغاثةُ الملهوف . وأخيراً تعالوا أيها الإخوة نتاجر جميعًا بالصَّدقةِ فإنَّ الربح مضمون والعاقبةُ مضمونة ، ودمتم سالمين من هذا الوباء وكل وباء بجاه باسط الأرضِ ورافعَ السَّمآء. ملاحظة أيها الإخوة للأمانةِ فقط سوف يُعلن عن أسماء المتبرعينَ وقيمة تبرعهم وشكراً لكم
Allah (swt) will aid the believer so long as his servant aids his brother. Praise be to Allah (swt) who made praise a performance of his right. In the power of the almighty God we seek refuge from this epidemic. May Allah (swt) send peace and blessings upon his beloved Prophet & messenger and his protégé (AS).
Brothers & sisters: The committee board of the Alawi Islamic Association of Vic is embarking on raising much needed support for our community overseas who are struggling with the current situation. You may not be aware that our brothers & sisters overseas are currently locked down and are struggling to cope in this current environment. The Alawi Islamic Association is putting together a committee overseas to distribute money and/or a basket of bare essentials for people who only have God to fall back on & the generosity of their brothers & sisters.
Brothers & sisters, charity is one off our 5 pillars in Islam and it is our duty to whoever can support to support one another in difficult times. Allah (swt) says in verse 42 of surat Al-Araf: "And (as for) those who believe and do good We do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability are the dwellers of the garden; in it they shall abide." To God Almighty has spoken the truth.
So we must always draw closer to God especially in these difficult times by praying, duaa and giving alms in the manner in which your soul is comfortable in giving. The commander of the faithful Imam Ali (a.s) said the head of faith is charity. Lets all come together and assist one another as the rewards & the consequences of your actions are guaranteed.
Furthermore, if you have any person overseas who could assist and you would like to nominate them please nominate them by contacting one of the committee members of the Alawi Islamic Association.
Inshallah you all stay safe from this epidemic and any other illness in the name of Allah (swt) who created the heavens and earth.
