Luis Perez was many things — a world-class colorist, a visionary, a co-founder of one of the most celebrated salons in America, and above all, a devoted father. After a courageous battle with cancer, Luis passed away, leaving behind two children, Oliver and Camila, who meant everything to him.

Luis co-founded Therapy Hair Studio in Houston alongside his partner David Bamford. Together, they built something extraordinary — a 6,700-square-foot sanctuary of creativity and craft that earned the title of Salon Today's Salon of the Year, one of the most prestigious honors in the industry. Luis was a master colorist whose talent was recognized internationally; he was invited to teach advanced color training for Wella AG in Los Angeles — a testament to just how gifted he truly was. But ask anyone who knew him, and they won't lead with the awards. They'll tell you about his warmth, his humor, his absolute refusal to give up.
