<div>Over the past few months, <strong>14-year-old Nydah, a freshman at Fort Elliott High School, has been in and out of hospitals and emergency rooms with severe abdominal pain.</strong> Despite numerous visits and tests, doctors have struggled to pinpoint the cause. Recently, they shared that they believe she may be suffering from stomach migraines, but more answers are still needed. To get clearer results and specialized care, Nydah has now been referred to Cook Children’s Hospital in Dallas, where a team of experienced specialists will be working to identify what is causing her pain. She is also scheduled for two MRIs in December, which will hopefully bring her doctors closer to a diagnosis, treatment plan, and relief.

<div>This journey has already placed a significant financial strain on her parents, CJ and Noemi Castillo, who have continued to work, support their family, and stay strong for Nydah while traveling back and forth for appointments and emergency visits. CJ serves as the Head Boys and Girls Basketball Coach at Fort Elliott CISD, where the Castillo family is known for pouring their time, energy, and love into the school and the entire community. They consistently step up to help others, promote school pride, and give back in every way they can. Now, it’s our turn to rally around them.
