From my wife: 

 My name is Shendel. Until recently, I planned on living out my life fully with my amazing family of five; my husband and my three beautiful daughters. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen because of my recent hospitalization. I have been diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of genetic ALS (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease), and I will most likely be without the use of my arms or legs in as little as a few months, the doctors predict. This degenerative disease is 100% fatal. There is no cure, and doctors say it's too late for treatment for me. My husband is the only one able to work as I've always been the homemaker.
 
The past 6 months, my breathing has been rapidly failing, and now I'm on a ventilator and feeding tube. We have no savings and have always only had each other. When the time comes, I don't want him struggling with funeral costs, grieving, and figuring out how to become both a dad and mom. Please, please. Help my husband and children. I'm desperate, and I just want my family to be able to bury me without becoming homeless over the expenses. I hope my story can reach someone and touch their heart.
