<div> Our dad, has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has now spread to his liver, kidneys, and lungs. Doctors have given him less than six months to live. He is in constant pain, weak, and deteriorating quickly and yet, he is facing this terminal illness alone.

<div> Our hearts are shattered. He should not be left to die alone in a cell when he has a family ready to love and care for him.

<div> Our dad has always been the heart of our family. He is the father of five and was the main caregiver to our oldest sister, who struggles with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. He has faced unimaginable loss. His mother died from postpartum depression shortly after giving birth to him, and his father passed away just last year. The only family he has left in this world is us.

<div>What he needs most is peace, dignity, and to be surrounded by the love of his family. ICE has the power to let him come home and we are doing everything in our power to make that happen.

<br /><br /> A nuestro papá, le han diagnosticado cáncer de colon en etapa 4, el cual se ha extendido al hígado, los riñones y los pulmones. Los doctores le han dado menos de seis meses de vida. Está en constante dolor, débil, y su salud se deteriora rápidamente, y aun así está enfrentando esta enfermedad terminal completamente solo.

Tenemos el corazón destrozado. No debería morir solo en una celda cuando tiene una familia que está lista para amarlo y cuidarlo.

Nuestro papá siempre ha sido el corazón de nuestra familia. Es padre de cinco hijos y fue el principal cuidador de nuestra hermana mayor, quien lucha con trastorno bipolar y esquizofrenia. Ha enfrentado pérdidas inimaginables. Su mamá falleció por depresión posparto poco después de darlo a luz, y su papá falleció apenas el año pasado. La única familia que le queda en este mundo somos nosotros.

Lo que más necesita ahora es paz, dignidad, y estar rodeado del amor de su familia. ICE tiene el poder de dejarlo regresar a casa, y nosotros estamos haciendo todo lo posible para que eso suceda.
