<div>Morgan and Alex are facing an incredibly challenging time as they welcome their twin boys into the world much earlier than expected. Both babies were born prematurely after weeks of close monitoring and difficult decisions, and they will need to stay in the NICU for several months. One of the twins has a confirmed heart condition that will require surgery when he is strong enough, while the other is still being closely monitored for a possible heart condition. Throughout this journey, Morgan and Alex have been traveling back and forth from their home in Sterling, IL to Rockford and Madison, WI for frequent appointments, often needing to stay overnight or make last-minute trips for extra monitoring.

<div>On top of the medical challenges, they are also caring for their 10-month-old, who is already walking and full of energy. Managing care for their older child has been a struggle, with family stepping in to help whenever possible. Alex has used all of his paid time off to support Morgan and be present for the babies’ monitoring, delivery, and recovery. With his paternity leave not starting until next year, he may eventually have to take unpaid leave to continue supporting his family during this critical time. This has created a significant financial strain, especially with ongoing travel costs and household bills piling up.
