<div>I am setting this up to help my mom and dad with funds for hospital bill, having to miss work, ect. My mom has a long recovery ahead of her and will be off for a few months atleast, depending on how she is doing it could be longer. Right now they are predicting August.

<div> She went to the ER due to severe abdominal pain. They did scans and she was pretty stopped up and had a blockage so they kept her over night for pain, the next day she still hasn't gone potty so they gave her laxatives. Again still nothing so they did another scan with blood work to find a huge inflamed spot on her right side but couldn't tell what it was.  HER WBC was high so they took her back for emergency surgery to find that her intestines  grew to her abdominal wall and tendon, which flipped her intestines itno a knot. She was in recovery and doing good then. Mom and dad had a couple of their nursing friends from their work come to sit with dad while she was back in surgery. When mom came back from recovery everything went south. Moms friend went to sit her up and she coughed up blood so her friend went to listening to her lungs, getting the suction set up, ect. Her role of an emergency. She went to the nurses on duty telling them moms not okay she is coughing up blood kinda arguing for them to get in gear and do something. Well mom was drowning from the blood flowing into her lungs, couldn't talk, or anything. If it wasn't for moms nursing friend being there mom most likely wouldn't be here today. Even the ICU nurse stated and said the same thing. They are pretty sure the anesthesia nicked a blood vessel which was what made the blood start filling up her lungs, which she ended up in ICU. She now has pneumonia and is trying to keep her oxygen up.  Everything happened so fast and random. So please keep your family/ friends close. You are never promised tomorrow.
