Support for Michael Macy

On October 22, 2019, Michael relapsed with small cell osteosarcoma in his right arm, and right lung. Our family has been hit twice now with this terrible disease, and financially already struggling. With this new diagnosis, we will need all the help we can find. I am the soul provider for our family, and have had to take time off work to be with my son and wife during the second worst time in our lives. With this diagnosis so much is unknown to us but we do know we will have to be traveling back and forth from Bellingham to Seattle frequently which adds a lot of expenses that we just don’t have the funds for. 

Michael’s first diagnosis was given to us on August 9,2016 at only 11 years old. He had a tumor on his right arm, that required 13 roundsof chemotherapy, with a 14 hour surgery.  The surgery removed his tumor on his humerus and they replaced it with his right fibula. We had to relocate from Bellingham to Seattle for the duration of his treatment which lasted 11 months. It was a hard year for Michael but we made it through. Over the next two and half years, Michael remained cancer free, but struggled with many side effects which include; kidney disease, nerve damage, mobility issues, anxiety, depression, neurological concerns. 

As we do not know what this next phase on Michael’s journey looks like, it is going to be difficult emotionally and financially. We need help! Please if you can donate anything and share with everyone you can, our family would appreciate it.
