<div>Maya is one of my daughter’s best friends and a student at H Guy Child Elementary, where I served as PTA President. She’s a stellar student, a star athlete, and a tremendous big sister. On July 4th, during the Riverdale fireworks, a drunk driver ran into Maya and several of her cousins. Maya was trapped between two vehicles for some time, and when paramedics arrived, she was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital. She now faces a long road ahead to heal, and her family is doing everything they can to support her.
