Support for Max and Jamie

Donation protected
Please see below for heartfelt notes from both Jamie and Max's family, Lynn, Tom and Claire.

From Jamie:

Words cannot express my gratitude for the love and support you all have shown me.  This is the hardest thing I have had to endure, and I would not have made it through without the love and sense of community I have felt over the past few weeks.  Thank you to my family, friends, friends of friends, and strangers.

Max's greatest gift was showing me the meaning of true love.  I was lucky to have loved him, but the luckiest to have been loved by the most amazing man.  He changed my life when he walked into it and I will live life to the fullest with the memory of his love in my heart, with me always.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.  Love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Forever grateful,
Jamie

From the Engle Family, Lynn, Tom and Claire:

Thank you all for your prayers, memories, and words of support. We always knew that Max was special, but we didn’t know how many other lives he impacted.  Your generous donations will help to pay for Max’s final expenses, as well as helping Jamie get back on her feet.

We will miss Max every day, but it is comforting to know that he lives on in so many hearts. In Max’s honor, please look for ways every day to find the good in others, and to help someone who needs it.

With love,
Lynn, Tom & Claire Engle

UPDATE:

Unfortunately, yesterday evening, Wednesday, 9/19, Max passed away.  The Doran and Engle families were together, surrounding Max with love as he passed peacefully.

The outpouring of support has been tremendous over the past few days.  Jamie and her family, as well as the Engle family, are so appreciative of everyone's prayers, love and support.  The messages on this page are already providing them comfort as they begin the long healing process.

Additionally, the generous donations thus far will be helpful for Max's extensive medical bills and funeral arrangements, as well as providing Jamie with support as she begins to pick-up the pieces of her shattered life and tries her best to move forward without Max by her side.

With this new heartbreaking news, please continue to share this site and contribute financially if possible.  Every donation is so appreciated and will lessen some of the looming burdens for Max's family and Jamie.

More information will be shared by the families as arrangements are made.

ORIGINAL POSTING:
With a heavy heart, yet lots of hope and optimism, I am setting up this Go Fund Me page to help support Max and Jamie during, undoubtedly, the most difficult time either of them has ever faced.

For those of you who may not be aware, Max was involved in a very traumatic accident on Friday night.  He was medivaced to Penn and has been receiving intensive medical treatment there since Friday.  The situation is very dire and Max is literally fighting for his life right now.   The coming days will be critical and will shed light on his prognosis.

Above all, Max and Jamie, along with their families and loved ones, need our prayers, love and support.   As you can only imagine, Jamie is clinging to hope and her pain is beyond what words can describe.  With their wedding only one month away, this situation could not be more tragic.  Please pray...send positive thoughts out...and don't give up hope for Max.  Where there is hope, there is faith.  Where there is faith, miracles happen.

In addition to your prayers, love and moral support, any financial support is greatly appreciated.  The financial burden they are facing is immense.  Between the emergency medical aid, ongoing medical care at Penn and missed work for extended time, the burden is quickly increasing.  Please extend your generosity and support them through a donation on this page.

Thank you,
Laura Polin (a close family friend of Jamie, Katie and the Doran Family)
