Mason was a vibrant 28-year-old transgender man, a close friend to all who knew him, and someone who was dreaming and working toward owning a home and coffee shop of his own. His life was tragically cut short after being diagnosed with a rare varicella encephalitis. Despite fighting bravely for over a week in the ICU, Mason passed away, leaving behind a spouse, his mother, and other family members who loved him dearly. Mason was the most important person to his mother, and their love was deeply reciprocated. The sudden loss has left his spouse and family struggling to cover funeral expenses, rent, and the costs associated with moving and rebuilding their lives.

 Mason’s spouse, mother, and family are now navigating not only the emotional pain of losing someone so special, but also the financial challenges that come with such a sudden tragedy. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Mason’s spouse with rent, moving expenses, and general cost of living as they work to put their life back together. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference during this incredibly difficult time, and will also offer comfort to Mason’s mother and family as they grieve.
