Assist Manuela (Stage 4 Cancer)

Anybody who knows Manuela knows that she has one of the most generous and caring souls on this planet, but that she also has far too much pride to ask for help, especially of a financial nature. So I am asking for your help on her behalf.
Manuela has been diagnosed with Stage IV Inflammatory Breast Cancer that has metastasized to her lymph nodes and bones, primarily her spinal cord and pelvis. As a cosmetology instructor, she works on her feet and has had to cut her work schedule to part-time, thus losing her health insurance. She has accrued nearly $50,000 in medical bills just in the process of being diagnosed. She is applying for appropriate health coverage as well as disability, but those benefits are not going to cover her accrued debt or her general living expenses.
As her her friend and someone who wants her quality of life during the remainder of her treatment to be as stress-free as possible (life expectancy is reportedly 1-3 years, although she’s determined to beat those odds), I am asking my friends, her friends, relatives and strangers to contribute as much as you are able (every cent will count) so that we can help her pay her medical bills and make her life as comfortable as possible.
