 Our family is devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved father, Luis Martinez Araujo, who was taken from us far too soon at the age of 74. In a heartbreaking accident, my father and his partner lost their lives while taking their morning walk in Reedley, California.

 My father’s journey was one of courage, sacrifice, and perseverance. He came to the United States from Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, Mexico, in search of a better life and the American Dream. Through years of hard work as a migrant farm laborer, he provided for his family, built a life filled with love, and eventually became a proud American citizen.

 El camino de mi padre fue uno de valentía, sacrificio y perseverancia. Llegó a los Estados Unidos desde Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, México, buscando una vida mejor y persiguiendo el sueño americano. Con muchos años de trabajo duro como trabajador agrícola migrante, sacó adelante a su familia, construyó una vida llena de amor y llegó a ser un orgulloso ciudadano estadounidense.
