<div>I’m not one who often asks for help, but this circumstance truly requires a village.
</div>

<div>Most of you know that I work at a retail hunting and fishing store. We are a modest-sized store with a small, close-knit family of employees, and one of our own has been dealt one of the worst cards a parent could ever be asked to face.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is Lucy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lucy is a young, vibrant teenager who loves the arts, dance, boating, camping, and, most of all, spending time with her friends and family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nearly a year ago, Lucy began feeling ill. Her family went from doctor to doctor, desperately searching for answers. Along the way, they were told it could be the flu, strep throat, various infections, and other possibilities. Unfortunately, the answer they were searching for did not come until recently, when Lucy and her parents finally received the diagnosis every family fears:

<div>Hodgkin lymphoma.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lucy has already begun her chemotherapy treatments, which require frequent trips to San Francisco and hotel stays costing $300–$500 per night. She and her family are now facing an incredibly difficult journey—physically, emotionally, and financially.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While Lucy fights this terrible disease, she will miss much of her junior year of high school and the once-in-a-lifetime memories that come with it: homecoming, junior prom, time with friends, and all those ordinary teenage moments that we often take for granted. She will also endure the physical and emotional toll that comes with powerful cancer treatments.

<div>That is why we want to give Lucy something special.

<div>We want to send Lucy and her family to Disney Land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want Lucy to have something magical to look forward to while she fights. We want her to have the opportunity to make incredible memories with the people she loves most—memories that can give her something positive to focus on during an incredibly difficult chapter of her life.

<div>Most importantly, we want Lucy to have hope.
</div>

</div>
<div>Cancer treatment is brutal, and it can be incredibly expensive, even for families who have health insurance. Donations will help ease the burden of medical and travel expenses while also helping make this special trip possible for Lucy and her family.

<div>No one person has to carry this burden alone. Collectively, we can make a difference.
