<div>My wife Loraine has faced health challenges for most of her life, but the past few years have been especially difficult. Her condition, which may be hEDS with possible CCI, has caused her to leave college and change jobs in search of something less physically demanding. Even with these adjustments, her health continued to decline. She was let go from her job at an assisted living facility earlier this year after frequent falls, confusion, and exhaustion made it impossible for her to keep working. Alongside these physical symptoms, Loraine also deals with PTSD, depression, and gastrointestinal issues that seem to be linked to her underlying condition. She often needs a cane or my help to get around, and has had to visit the ER multiple times in the last three years for dehydration, low blood sugar, and severe migraines that mimic stroke or heart attack symptoms.

<div> We’ve tried to manage our finances as best we can, but the cost of daily living and medical care has forced us to rely on loans and credit cards. Our families have helped when possible—Loraine’s side has provided food and occasional financial support, and my mom has helped with car payments and emergencies. Still, the burden is heavy, and we’re waiting for disability approval to bring some stability. Our hope is to make our finances manageable so Loraine can focus on her health and recovery without the constant stress of debt and bills. Any support will help us cover essentials and give Loraine the chance to rest and heal as much as possible.
