Support for little Giovanni

Hi everyone,
My name is Cristina Como, from Somerset, NJ. I am raising money for a close friend in need for her son.
Here is their story... After facing a difficult second pregnancy, baby Giovanni needed to be delivered early because he was not growing as fast as he should have been. Gio was born prematurely on September 27th weighing just over 4 pounds, and was welcomed with so much joy from Mom (Lauren), Dad (Adam) and Big brother (Max Carter) as well as a big extended family!
The complications, unfortunately, continued for Baby Gio after his birth. He was not able to gain weight, he was having some difficulty with eating, keeping food in his little belly, and breathing. The extensive testing began, and still is ongoing to find answers and solutions for this precious little kiddo. He has undergone several blood transfusions, a surgery, is only able to feed through a feeding tube at this time, and is under the care of many, many doctors, specialists and therapists.
Lauren and Adam made a very difficult decision to leave their jobs and uproot their family from their home in Orlando, Florida and move to New Jersey to be able to have better medical care and family support for all of Gio's needs.
Giovanni has made some great progress in the first 5 months of his life. He is a little warrior, getting stronger and fighting each day and we hope for only a positive progression for him from here!
However, the expenses of moving, being out of work, and many many medical expenses that most are not covered by insurance are getting bigger than this family can handle on their own. They need our love and support now more than ever!
Soo I decided to organize this page to ask for the support in little Gio's honor!
Please consider making a donation, whether big or small, to this amazing family as they go through a difficult time. All of the donations will be used for medical supplies, medical bills, food, therapies and any other expenses that little Gio requires to get healthier and stronger each day! Once the money has been raised, I will personally transfer it over for Gio's care.
