<div>My 13-year-old nephew, Liam, suffered a serious fall on January 31, 2025, and has been transferred to an intensive care ward in Sydney. He has severe brain, spine, pelvis, and limb injuries, and was in an induced coma for 13 days. Liam has now been transferred to the Children's ward in Sydney and is progressing well but has a long road to recovery ahead.

<div>Liam is a wonderful boy, and I am proud to call him my nephew. His strong character will help him fight to get better, but we need help. This donation page is to support Liam and ease the financial burden on his dad, my brother Michael.

<div>Michael is staying with Liam, but they don't live in Sydney, and the round trip back home is over 300 kilometres. The money will go to financial assistance during the recovery period for things like travel and accommodation expenses for Michael while Liam is in hospital in Sydney, we are unsure of how long this will be. Michael’s house will also need modifications so Liam can stay and be comfortable and safe. Then as things progress with Liam’s recovery he may need tutoring and home schooling to get Liam back to school and start a normal life again. He may also will need mobility assistance for a while due to the nature of his injuries.

<div>Michael has served in the Australian Army, Victoria Police, Federal Police, and United Nations Peacekeeping Forces. He is also an active advocate for suicide prevention. Michael has done enough for his country to warrant financial support during this difficult time so he can focus on Liam's recovery and rehabilitation.
