The fund is about to top 10 THOUSAND pounds and we are utterly blown away by all the love and support that Effie, Leighton and Rachel are receiving. She is now receiving a new MRI scan to check the status of her tumour and will be undergoing surgery in the next few days. Please keep the family in your thoughts as they battle with Effie. When there is any news, we will pass this on to you. Thank you once again, you are wonderful and amazing human beings. xxx

There has been positive news this week as Effie was allowed to come home for the weekend. She responded well to IV antibiotics to fight the infection in her biopsy wound. We are hoping for the results of her biopsy and a treatment plan next week. I will keep you updated. Please continue to share and donate if you can. Hi Everyone

The Smith family, Leighton, Rachel and Baby Effie, who I love dearly, are currently fighting a battle against a hideous and unrelenting tumour in Baby Effie's neck. I am trying to support that fight with a plea to you all to help raise funds for the family, so that they can put all of their energy and attention on baby Effie and her battle against her tumour.

Effie is 6 months old and when she was born, Leighton and Rachel were overjoyed and utterly smitten at their beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately, now Effie is very ill with a tumour in her neck that is threatening to shut down her tiny body. A team of doctors and specialists are working very hard to treat baby Effie, I and everyone I know is rooting for team Effie so that her medical team can make positive progress against her tumour. 

To do this, the family have had to move to Southampton from their home in Burnham-on-Sea for Effie's treatment. This added stress and expense is something I hope we can all help with. Your crowdfunding will go directly to the Smith family for travel expenses, bills and the costs of their temporary stay in Southampton. Your funds will also go towards Effie's welfare and wellbeing as well as any future medical needs. Any surplus funds will be donated to Cancer Research to continue research and development of cancer fighting treatments.

We are all hoping and wishing Effie the best possible outcome from her fight and sending all our love and positivity to the Smith family.
