Yesterday, Leeann Covington’s mother, Carey Covington, was taken from her family in a senseless hit and run. The shock and heartbreak are overwhelming, and the person responsible has not been caught or even stopped to help. Leeann and her family are struggling to process this unimaginable loss, and they are at a loss for words as they try to navigate the days ahead.

 Carey was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother to her granddaughters. She always tried to help, no matter who it was, and had a huge heart. Her kindness touched everyone around her, and her absence leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her. The family is facing not only emotional pain, but also the unexpected burden of funeral expenses and other needs that come with such a tragedy.
