Kristen was my partner, and she meant everything to me. For nearly two years, I was unemployed so I could care for her as she battled cancer. Kristen always wanted me to be able to fulfill her final wishes and to have the support I needed to move onto the next stage of my life without her. Her kindness and strength inspired everyone around her, and I am grateful for the time we shared.

 During her illness, I prioritized her needs above all else. One day, while picking Kristen up from Ben Taub hospital after an in-patient chemotherapy treatment, I received a speeding ticket. She always wanted me to get there quickly so she wouldn't have to wait in the discharge area, which made her feel unsafe. That ticket is now in collections, and the fines and fees have become overwhelming. We also didn't get the chance to transfer her car into my name before she passed, so there are additional costs and paperwork involved.

 I am also in need of basic essentials like clothing and shoes, which I haven't been able to purchase over the past few years. Any leftover funds will go toward other necessities I've postponed while caring for Kristen. I'm asking for your support to help me fulfill Kristen's wishes and move forward after her passing. Any contribution will make a difference in my life as I navigate this difficult transition.
