Our family is heartbroken after the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved grandmother, Koritza Ortiz. She was the victim of a hit and run accident that took her from us far too soon. Koritza was the heart of our family—a loving mother, sister, friend, grandmother to nine, and great-grandmother to my two young boys. She was known for her generosity, kindness, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for. Whether she was sharing snacks from her purse, teaching us something new, or filling our lives with creativity and laughter, every moment with her was a gift.

Abuela Kori came to this country as an immigrant, determined to give her children a better life. She worked tirelessly and did everything she could to support our family. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering love shaped who we are today. Now, as we face the unimaginable pain of her loss, we are reaching out for help to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves.
