My name is Marta Magdalena Baćko, and I am Kamil’s fiancée. 

I am creating this fundraiser because Kamil is currently waiting for his trial, and our family is going through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Kamil is not a headline, not a political symbol, and not a monster. He is my partner, a loved family member, and an ordinary man who is now facing the stress, uncertainty, and emotional weight of criminal proceedings. 
 
At this stage, Kamil has not had his trial. We are not using this page to comment on guilt, evidence, or the details of the case. We respect the legal process, and we understand that the court must deal with the matter properly and independently. 

What we are asking for is simple: fairness, proportionality, and the chance for Kamil to properly defend himself. 
 
Kamil is alleged to have thrown an empty drink can which did not hit anyone. Despite this, he has been deprived of his liberty while waiting for the next stages of the case. As his fiancée, it is extremely hard to understand and even harder to live through every day. 

I have read in the newspapers about other cases involving very serious allegations where defendants were allowed to wait for their trial in the community after being granted bail. The media reported, for example, on the case of Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa, who, according to press reports, were granted unconditional bail in a case involving allegations of illegal weapons possession. I also read in the Daily Echo that, in connection with the same incident in Southampton, a 39-year-old man and a 16-year-old person from Southampton were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and later released on bail while the investigation continued. 
 
I do not say this to attack anyone else’s case or to prejudge anyone. I say it because, as someone who loves Kamil, I am struggling to understand why he appears to be treated so harshly when compared with other examples reported in the media. It raises painful questions for our family about equal treatment, proportionality, and basic fairness.

We are not asking anyone to decide the case. That is for the court. We are only asking for help so that Kamil can properly defend himself, stay connected with his loved ones, and be treated with dignity while he waits for his trial.

Tworzę tę zbiórkę, ponieważ Kamil obecnie oczekuje na proces, a nasza rodzina przechodzi przez jeden z najtrudniejszych momentów w naszym życiu. Kamil nie jest nagłówkiem w gazecie, symbolem politycznym ani potworem. Jest moim partnerem, kochanym członkiem rodziny i zwykłym człowiekiem, który mierzy się teraz ze stresem, niepewnością i emocjonalnym ciężarem postępowania karnego. 

Na tym etapie Kamil nie miał jeszcze procesu. Nie wykorzystujemy tej strony do komentowania winy, dowodów ani szczegółów sprawy. Szanujemy proces prawny i rozumiemy, że sąd musi rozpatrzyć tę sprawę w sposób właściwy i niezależny. 

Prosimy jedynie o sprawiedliwość, proporcjonalność oraz możliwość, aby Kamil mógł właściwie się bronić. 

Kamilowi zarzuca się rzucenie pustą puszką po napoju, która nikogo nie trafiła. Mimo to został pozbawiony wolności na czas oczekiwania na dalsze etapy postępowania. Jako jego narzeczona bardzo trudno mi to zrozumieć, a jeszcze trudniej żyć z tym każdego dnia. 

Czytałam w gazetach o innych sprawach dotyczących bardzo poważnych zarzutów, w których oskarżonym pozwolono oczekiwać na proces na wolności po wpłaceniu kaucji lub uzyskaniu zwolnienia za poręczeniem. Media informowały między innymi o sprawie Moga Singha i Gurpreeta Digwy, którzy według doniesień prasowych otrzymali bezwarunkowe zwolnienie za poręczeniem w sprawie dotyczącej zarzutów nielegalnego posiadania broni. Przeczytałam również w Daily Echo, że w związku z tym samym incydentem w Southampton 39-letni mężczyzna i 16-letnia osoba z Southampton zostali zatrzymani pod zarzutem udziału w zamieszkach, a następnie zwolnieni za poręczeniem na czas trwania śledztwa. 

Nie mówię tego, aby atakować sprawę kogokolwiek innego ani by kogokolwiek z góry osądzać. Mówię to, ponieważ jako osoba, która kocha Kamila, z trudem próbuję zrozumieć, dlaczego wydaje się on być traktowany tak surowo w porównaniu z innymi przykładami opisywanymi w mediach. Rodzi to bolesne pytania dla naszej rodziny o równe traktowanie, proporcjonalność i podstawową sprawiedliwość. 

Zebrane środki zostaną przeznaczone na: 

koszty prawne i przygotowanie sprawy; 

koszty podróży związane z wizytami rodziny i rozprawami sądowymi; 

komunikację i wsparcie dla Kamila podczas pobytu w areszcie; 

dokumenty, wydruki, tłumaczenia i inne wydatki związane ze sprawą;

Każda wpłata, nawet najmniejsza, pomoże nam nadal wspierać Kamila i sprawić, by nie musiał przechodzić przez ten proces samotnie. 

Nie prosimy nikogo o rozstrzyganie tej sprawy. To zadanie dla sądu. 
 
Prosimy jedynie o pomoc, aby Kamil mógł właściwie się bronić, utrzymać kontakt z bliskimi i być traktowany z godnością, podczas gdy oczekuje na proces.
