Please help us support our crew member Juan Berecca and his children, Erica Guadalupe and Jose Diego, through the loss of wife and mother Erica Becerra.
There is no easy way to lose a spouse but when COVID-19 takes a 29-year-old, pregnant wife, I can't think of a more difficult way.
It is with heavy hearts, we share with you the story of our crew member Juan and his wife Erica Becerra. Erica was carrying their second child when diagnosed with the Corona Virus back in early November. When things didn't look good for Erica, the doctors and medical team were able to deliver their baby boy, Jose, and Erica was placed on a ventilator. Her immune system and body fought to keep her son alive. It is a miracle and a true testament of her love for him. However, the virus continued to take hold of Erica after the delivery and she passed away on December 3, 2020.
Now Juan is faced with funeral arrangements along with everything else he will need to take care of in her absence. Not to mention, Juan's responsibility for two very young children on his own while working through his own grief. Many friends, families, partnering companies, and community members have reached out with prayers and asking for ways to help. This fundraiser will help Juan in so many ways.
We are so thankful in advance to everyone who has rallied together for a man we all care for so dearly. This is the power of the community. We know the story is not over and God is in control. Thank you for your generosity of whatever you can contribute to the Bereccas at this time!
