On April 4th, his life was taken far too soon in a devastating accident caused by a wrong-way DUI driver. He was on his way to go see family for Easter, a time that should have been filled with love and togetherness. His sudden passing has left behind a family who depended on him deeply and loved him endlessly.

<div>His 7-year-old daughter, Bella, is currently in the hospital fighting to recover from serious injuries. His partner, Lupe, is also undergoing treatment for life-threatening injuries. This has been an incredibly painful and overwhelming time for their family as they try to process everything while facing a long road to recovery.

<div>Joel was not only a father but a provider, a protector, and the heart of his family. He leaves behind multiple children who are now navigating life without him.
