<div>My name is Jhonnifer, and I am reaching out for help for my mom, Jocelyn, who is currently in the ICU in the Philippines. Jocelyn has been a dialysis patient for over a month and two weeks, bravely facing her health challenges. Recently, she developed a cough that turned into asthma, and on Christmas Day, she lost her breath for 12 minutes. My sister and dad rushed her to the nearest hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU and intubated to help her breathe.

<div> I am living in Statesville, NC, working as an immigrant registered nurse. I moved here over a year ago because nursing in the Philippines does not pay enough to support a family, so I worked hard to build a better life for us. Being far from my family during this crisis is incredibly hard, but I am doing everything I can to help from afar. Jocelyn is still able to move her legs, open her eyes, and respond to voices, and we are holding onto hope for her recovery.
