Support for Jim Kollen

Our father, son, uncle, brother and friend needs our help!

Jim Kollen, is currently struggling to keep up with expenses as a result of his illness. Jim is currently fully disabled as a result of his rare form of leukemia, pyoderma gangrenosum, and other medical conditions. Although he is receiving state medical benefits the out of pocket medical expenses continue to grow, his vehicle has broken down and needs the engine replaced, his travel to Portland and Bend for treatment is out of pocket, and daily living expenses continue to add up. As a result of all of this he has had to move back into his mother's house to afford the basic living expenses.

Jim is a very proud man and does not like asking for help, and unfortunately our family is unable to provide financial assistance for him. We are setting up this GoFundMe to help him with his everyday expenses, fuel, groceries and any other incidental expenses that may arise.

Jim is working hard to get his health stabilized so that he may be able to go through with a bone marrow transplant which could cure his leukemia. Our family has found a bone marrow donor, but his other medical issues based on Medicare funding are making it difficult for him to qualify for the transplant.

The stress of dealing with all of this is starting to take its toll on his mental strength and he is beginning to struggle with depression as a result. It is our goal that we can help take off some of the financial burden with the help of the generous people in his world. Please consider helping today!
