Support For Jesse Kochel #realmenwearspeedos

On February 14, 2021, Jesse, a loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Coach and Friend, was admitted to the Emergency Room for a severe headache and loss of cognitive functions. After several tests and scans, the devastating diagnosis is a brain tumor.  Due to the location and footprint of this fast growing tumor, surgeons are unable to remove it.  Unfortunately, Jesse will live with this tumor for the remainder of his life. We are awaiting the results of a biopsy that was performed on Monday, February 15th. Possible treatment options include radiation and chemotherapy. We are hopeful this tumor will be manageable.

Anyone who knows Jesse personally, knows he is an amazing person who is active in the community and loves the sport of Water Polo.  Jesse and his wife, Audra, started Southern Utah Water Polo in 2014 after their children showed interest in the sport.  Jesse played water polo in high school and was also a swimmer so naturally, he passed the love of being in the water onto his children. Since starting SUWP, they have grown the program to over 60 athletes and have hosted dozens of events including the Utah Summer Games and the Eggbeater Invitational in Cedar City, UT.  Their oldest son Ethan is currently a Freshman at McKendree University and is on the Varsity Water Polo team. More recently, Jesse and Audra were the co-hosts and co-founders of the Eggbeater Tournament Showcase in St. George, UT that hosted over 1600 athletes and 110 teams from all over the Western United States over a 5 weekend stretch from January to February 2021. Jesse loves water polo with a passion! From coaching, hosting events and refereeing, he and Audra have made water polo their "way of life."

In addition to volunteering their time as coaches and founders of SUWP, Jesse runs a successful Landscaping business in Hurricane, UT. Jesse is the owner/operator which makes this devastating diagnosis truly life changing.

All donations will go toward Jesse's ongoing medical care, hospital costs, medications and to alleviate the burden placed on his family since he was their sole provider. In addition to your donations, if you would like to send Jesse a message or words of encouragement, please email [email redacted] This is an email dedicated especially for this purpose. Please do not expect a response, however we will make sure Jesse gets the messages. To participate in the MEAL TRAIN CLICK HERE

Jesse and Audra would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support for our favorite guy. When sharing this GoFund Me, please use the hashtag #realmenwearspeedos
