Support for Jeff and Susie

In 2011, Susie and Jeff Mrozik were able to take a dream vacation to Ireland. As retirement approached, they definitely hoped to return to the area they loved.
  Jeff is an avid fisherman, so having more time to share that with Susie was also something they looked forward to. Not to mention more time with those Grandkids ❤️.  So finally, (according to Susie)Jeff retired in February of 2019.  Something to celebrate for sure!  The future was looking bright.                                
          But then this:   Within weeks, Jeff started having abdominal pains. Some so severe that it totally weakened him making it impossible for him to do even light lifting. This went on for months as doctors ruled out causes, until Jeff was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer!  To say they were shocked and devastated doesn’t begin to describe the emotion. Since June, Jeff has been getting weekly chemotherapy treatments. Out-of-pocket expenses have been draining on their finances. Jeff’s oncologist has said there is no cure; chemotherapy must continue to keep the cancer at bay. Jeff’s life as he knew it is over. So is Susie’s. Right now, I don’t know who is more worried about who :( Jeff has gone from being very active to low energy and sedentary. Even the most basic home repairs and essential functions we tend to take for granted have become a chore or impossible without financial or physical help. Asking for help is not in Jeff or Susie’s nature! But helping and caring for  others always has been. So for all of us that have had a loved one stricken with this disease or countless others, please reach out and help if you can. We all say, “what can I do?” This would definitely help ☺️. And please keep Jeff and Susie in your prayers during this difficult time, too.  Never give up Hope.
