<div>Our names are Alice and Melinda, and we're raising funds to support our mom, Jean, while our dad, Fred, is in the hospital recovering from multiple emergency surgeries. On May 15th, Fred had to undergo emergency surgery for a small bowel blockage, which led to several additional surgeries. He's still in the hospital, on a ventilator to help him breathe, and we don't know when he'll be able to come home. The doctors have told us that we are lucky he made it past the critical 72-hour mark, but it's going to be a journey of one step forward and three steps back.

She is focused on supporting him and our family, and it's been a real struggle to cover bills, buy groceries, and pay for transportation to and from the hospital. Every little bit helps us keep things stable while Fred recovers.
