Support for Jared's Medical Expenses

Hello All! As most of you may know, my little brother Jared Baker broke his neck Sunday evening June 13, 2021. Thankfully he is alive and has use of his whole body! He underwent surgery on June 16, 2021 to put a plate in place of his crushed vertebra, we are grateful that it went smoothly. Jared also had two hematomas in his neck and throat that were drained and resolved during surgery. Jared is home now and on the road to recovery (12 weeks). During this time Jared's mobility is limited due to his pain and safety precautions to ensure he heals correctly. He is out of work for this recovery time, which adds a financial strain. Jared applied and was accepted for disability, he will received 60% of his income which will help with his current bills (car payment, phone bill, student loans, insurance etc.) however does not cover all of these current costs. The medical expenses for C5/C6 surgery alone average $15,000 or more. Not to mention the hospital stay,  future physical therapy costs and the possibility that Jared will need a second surgery if he is not healing correctly at the 6 week mark.

 
Asking for financial support is nothing our family takes lightly. My mom has more recently been living off of a reduced income and my dad will undergo surgery himself in the matter of days. I currently work part time and am unable to help with funds. Anyone who knows Jared knows that he is a hard worker, if he were physically able to be back at work making money to pay his bills he would be.
