Jake is currently in the hospital battling sepsis after a series of serious infections—a large cyst under his arm and a spider bite on his head, both of which became infected. On top of these health challenges, Jake is also managing type 2 Diabetes, and his blood sugar levels have been dangerously high. His wife, Tammy, and their three young children—Aubree (7), Charles (6), and Karla (5)—are facing an incredibly difficult time as they try to keep their family afloat.

 Just last week, Jake and Tammy made a huge sacrifice to give their kids a better life: they sold their truck to make a down payment on a new home. Now, with Jake in the hospital and no transportation, Tammy is left to care for the children and manage household responsibilities on her own. The kids are about to start school, and the family is struggling to cover basic expenses like the mortgage, utilities, groceries, and school supplies. Every day is a challenge, and the stress of Jake’s illness has made things even harder.

 Jake and Tammy have always put their children first, doing everything they can to provide for Aubree, Charles, and Karla despite ongoing financial struggles.
