Jake Wheeler is the kind of person who brings joy wherever he goes. Known for his big heart, sense of humor, and ability to make friends with anyone, Jake is a devoted husband to Hailey and a hands-on dad to their three children: Gabe (18), Charlotte (12), and Savannah (5). He’s also close with his parents, Judy and Timothy, his brother Michael, and sister-in-law Becky. Jake’s love for his family and his knack for telling dad jokes have always made him the center of laughter and warmth at home and at work, where he’s a motivating boss and a loyal friend.

 On Monday, August 4th, Jake drove himself to the ER with a fever and severe abdominal pain. Doctors rushed him into surgery, but complications from swelling and infection meant he couldn’t be closed up. Since then, Jake has been in a medically induced coma, and his family has faced a week of uncertainty and fear. There have been small victories—like the good news on August 10th that his intestines looked healthy and his vitals were stable—but the road ahead is long. Hailey has been by his side every day, trying to care for their children and keep hope alive, while Jake’s parents and brother rally around them.

 The Wheeler family needs support to help with mounting medical bills, travel expenses, food, and lost wages.
