Support for Jafar and Zahra

Hey y’all, we are raising funds for Jafar and Zahra. Jafar was my interpreter in Afghanistan for a couple of years. They are young newlyweds, only being married since 2019. They fled their home in Bagram to Kabul in hopes of being evacuated to a safe country. Like many others, they were only able to escape with the clothes on their backs, and no money to begin a new life in the US. Jafar is a great guy, volunteering at the University in Herat, teaching English during the time he worked for the Army. All the money will be going to clothing, basic living supplies, food and housing until they are able to get jobs and get on their feet. In the meantime, they will be staying with Holly and I in Texas, once they arrive in the states. Let’s show them what being an American is about, and welcome them with open arms.
