I’m starting this page for one of the most important people in my life. I’m doing so because I know she is way to proud and will never do it on her own. Helene LaRose is one of the most kind and thoughtful people you will ever meet as most of you who receive this will already know. When she beat Cancer the first time you could feel the relief in her voice, not for her, but for her husband and two amazing children and that’s just who she is. Always about others first and then herself. I’m starting this page because the battle we thought she had won against Cancer has come back with a vengeance and at 49 years old, she is just too young to let it take her. Unfortunately without our help it will win this time. Cancer has taken her dignity but it has not taken her will. She will fight to stay here as long as she can but if she should lose, she will go down a fighter! For as long as I can remember, she has been a pillar for me in my life, and I will not let her fight this alone. I’m reaching out to all of you who’s lives she has touched in hopes we can all join together and give back all she has represented to us in our lives. She has been told that Chemotherapy will just buy her time but an opportunity for a special treatment could add years to her life. This treatment is called immunothérapie(immunotherapy) which costs $5000 per shot which she would have to take twice per month until they get it. I want her to know she is not alone, let’s show her how many of us are standing behind her!

I wrote this poem for her during her last battle and I’d like to share it with you all now. I love her with all my heart and I will never give up!

This place you are in I can't begin to understand,
a place for which you could never have planned,

Never did I think this battle you'd have to fight,
This battle for anyone just isn't right,

I remember that first day in which we all met,
Name card in hand, meeting point was set,

Coming down the terminal, looking somewhat confused,
Comforted by the smiles that left me amused,

Whisked away to the north to take part in festivities,
To which I attempted to the best of my abilities,

This first night would dictate the relationship that would be,
Of the influences you'd have for a developing me,

You were always there for me to help with my growing,
My most informative years you helped with my knowing,

I'll be forever grateful for all you've done for me,
And now I'm here for you I hope you can see,

This place you are in I may never understand,
But right here beside you is where I will stand.

Love always,

Andy
