<div>On March 16, the Strawberry Girls received some devastating news. <strong>Habiba, the “Genesis Girl,” who inspired the Strawberry Girls to help other women trapped in human trafficking</strong>, has passed away.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She suffered, not only at the hands of her abusers, but also from the metastasized cancer that ravaged her body for six years. Habiba came to pick strawberries in the fields of Spain, a “Journey to El Dorado,” and went through all of this suffering to help support her family back in Morocco.

<div><strong>Please help us find a way for Habiba’s family to be reunited with their daughter and mother one last time and to bury her in her home country. It will be Habiba’s final “journey” home to Morocco, so that her family can experience some peace in this difficult time.</strong>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
