Support for Growth of Field Hockey

We are excited about the possibilities for the growth of field hockey at a number of institutions around the country, but it is not going to come without a lot of work. We have been working with many students who want to see the sport added. In addition, they are willing to take legal steps to help force the issue. We have a dedicated group of supporters who are right in step with them, providing data, advice, and guidance to advance an argument that is solid, and most importantly, the proof needed at a legal standard to support law suits should it get to that point.
 
We are at that point with some schools, and now comes the challenge. While we have one of the best law firms in the nation working with us, one that has had proven success with Title IX lawsuits, they cost money. There are expenses incurred that include time and travel, among other things. There is no telling how long some of these suits can take, and we have to be prepared for the long haul.
 
We are asking for your support to help defray the costs of the legal team as we pursue lawsuits against schools that we know are denying opportunities to young women to pursue the sport of field hockey. The facts are that these schools are not in compliance with Title IX. We are taking those facts to the courts to force the issue. Your support will help us reach those goals.
