As you may know, EJ and I had to make the awful decision to say goodbye to our darling Freyja on Saturday, March 15th.

She went in for some extensive but routine dental work on the 11th and suffered rare, but not unheard of complications from the anesthesia. Her little body simply never recovered and eventually shut down.

Between the 11th and the 15th we worked with two incredible vet practices to give her every chance we could, not worrying about the cost and focusing on trying to not only keep her comfortable, but give her 24/7 monitoring to address every issue that arose.

Tragically it was not to be and we decided to help her transition peacefully out of this world and end the pain she was in.

When all was said and done we were left with a list of rather staggering expenses over $10,000. More than worth it to help give our wonderful girl the best care we could, but that's a hefty number.

We won't have any more expenses and we're not in dire straits, but if anyone is moved to help, we would appreciate it.

EJ and I aren't sharing this far and wide either, just to a small group of our closest friends, some of whom may have been lucky enough to meet the sweetest little nugget.

We're eternally grateful for the time we got to spend with her and we know that she will never be forgotten. I know many of you know this feeling and this emptiness that comes with such a loss and any words of comfort or in person hugs will also be gladly accepted, too.
