On May 4, I took my father to the hospital emergency room due to a ruptured intestine. It was subsequently diagnosed as Stage 4 Colon Cancer. After two weeks, he was discharged to receive hospice care. My four siblings—Malinda, Mia, Christopher Jr., and Channing—along with my brother's girlfriend Madysen, my boyfriend Tanner, and I remained by his side, providing support and assistance until circumstances prevented us from doing so due to family challenges.
My boyfriend and brother, both 20 years old, took time off work to be present for our father and to support our younger siblings during this difficult period. Unfortunately, recent heavy rains and flooding have impacted their work in construction, and my vehicle was also affected by flooding.
As young adults, we are coping with emotional and financial hardships, with support from our mother, stepfather, and a few family friends. We are currently seeking assistance to help cover essential expenses such as bills, food, and transportation.
If anyone is able to offer support, we would sincerely appreciate your kindness and generosity.
